Aidan wished that there was another way, a way that didn't involve admitting he couldn't control himself like this. It didn't matter that he had been wounded almost to the point of death or the craving caught him so suddenly, he didn't want to admit to Rachel of all people he didn't have a handle on this.

He could feel her touch on his mind and he closed his eyes, more out of shame to look at her than actually falling asleep just yet, but it was only a split second later than he felt his body fall forward as sleep took him.
